It’s also home to the third largest lake in the area, which stays totally frozen between December and the beginning of spring time. Stunning backdrops in all directions.
The beautiful village of St Jean d’Aulps sits a little further down the valley from Morzine and Montriond, yet it’s home to one of the most beautiful wedding settings in the area. The Abbaye d’Aulps is an 11th century abbey set in it’s own 3 hectares of it’s grounds on the outskirts of the village. The ruins of the original Abbey set a beautiful backdrop to a wedding ceremony, and there are also medieval gardens, cellars and other buildings to explore.
